(CBS) Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith has been named one of three finalists for the NHL Foundation Player Award, which is awarded to “an NHL player who applies the core values of hockey – commitment, perseverance and teamwork – to enrich the lives of people in his community.”

Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron and Sharks forward Brent Burns were the other two finalists.

Keith is active in the community through his Keith Relief charity, which benefits families facing medical crises.

The award winner will be announced June 24 in Las Vegas.
