Senate President John Cullerton's Son Charged With Groping Woman At Memphis Nightclub

(CBS) -- The son of Illinois Senate President John Cullerton was arrested on Memphis and charged with sexual battery for an incident Friday night at a Memphis nightclub, according to Memphis Police.

According to Memphis Police, Carroll Cullerton, 26, was charged with sexual battery for allegedly fondling a woman at Club 152 on Beale Street. He is accused of unzipping the victim's dress and fondling her breast.

A spokesperson for John Cullerton said, "The matter doesn't involve The Office of (Senate) President."

Carroll Cullerton is out of jail on bond and due back in court in Memphis on Monday.

This is not the first time one John Cullerton's sons has gotten into legal trouble. The Chicago Democrat's son Garritt Cullerton was charged with threatening a bouncer at a Wicker Park bar in 2012. He was also charged with DUI in 2004 and 2008, but not convicted.
