CHICAGO (CBS) — A 36-year-old man was facing misdemeanor charges, after urinating into a womanâs car in the South Loop, and coming up with an unusual explanation.

Police said the 59-year-old woman who owns the car told officers she saw Conneely urinating into her car a little after 8 p.m. Sunday.READ MORE: No New States Added To Chicago's Travel Advisory
She told police she wouldnât press charges if Conneely would promise to clean up what heâd done, but he declined; and allegedly told officers he was urinating into the car because he thought someone was trying to steal it, and he was trying to stop them.MORE NEWS: Transgender Attorney Says Judges And Clerks Have Harassed Her; Fights For Change
When he refused to clean up the mess, Conneely was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property.
