CHICAGO (CBS) — A 36-year-old man was facing misdemeanor charges, after urinating into a woman’s car in the South Loop, and coming up with an unusual explanation.

She told police she wouldn’t press charges if Conneely would promise to clean up what he’d done, but he declined; and allegedly told officers he was urinating into the car because he thought someone was trying to steal it, and he was trying to stop them.MORE NEWS: 1 New York City Police Officer, Suspect Killed In Harlem Shooting
When he refused to clean up the mess, Conneely was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property.
