Report: Kaepernick Used Racial Slur In Drawing Flag In Bears Game
(CBS) The $11,000 fine that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick drew following an unsportsmanlike penalty for inappropriate language in a game against the Bears on Sept. 14 stemmed from him using a racial slur, FoxSports.com reported Sunday.
Kaepernick has denied using bad language and is appealing the fine, but Fox Sports' Jay Glazer cited officials as saying Kaepernick used the "n-word." Kaepernick and Bears defensive lineman Lamarr Houston had gotten into it after Chicago cornerback Kyle Fuller picked off a pass.
Helping Kaepernick's case is that Houston told the Chicago Tribune that Kaepernick didn't insult him.
