Wolves Fall 4-1 To Adirondack Flames

(CBS) The Chicago Wolves fell 4-1 to the Adirondack Flames on Wednesday afternoon at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

The Flames (18-10-1-0) took a 1-0 lead in the first period, and the score would stay that way until the third, when they stretched their lead to 2-0 at 4:24.

The Wolves (14-10-3-0) got their lone goal from center Colin Fraser about a minute later to cut their deficit to 2-1, but they would find no more offensive success. It was Fraser's fifth goal of the season.

Chicago goalie Jordan Binnington had 21 saves.

"One of my old coaches said the hardest thing to do in hockey is score," Wolves coach John Anderson said. "It's getting a little frustrating. We had a couple wide-open nets in the first period and we don't score."

The Wolves host the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. Saturday in the first of five games at Allstate Arena over the holiday break.
