PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Tramique Sutherland scored 19 points, Josh Cunningham added 11 with 11 rebounds and Bradley defeated Illinois-Chicago 68-60 on Sunday night.

The Braves (5-8) led by as much as 12 in the second half, but surrendered a late run that pulled UIC (3-11) within two with 2:18 remaining. Sutherland answered with a jumper and a three-point play to make it 63-57 with 1:06 left. Cunningham sank three late free throws and Sutherland hit two to seal it.

Ka’Darryl Bell and Auston Barnes combined to go 9 of 12 from the field, with Bell scoring 16 points and Barnes chipping in 12. Bradley shot 46.3 percent overall and scored 15 points off turnovers.

Jake Wiegand paced the Flames with 21 points and Paris Burns added 12, with both grabbing seven rebounds. Marc Brown and Lance Whitaker each had 11 points for UIC, which committed 17 turnovers and went 18 of 43 overall.
