Deshawn Johnson, 26, is accused of shooting an employee at a West Side Chinese restaurant in the course of robbing it last Halloween.

Appearing in bond court Friday, Johnson suddenly took off running and was chased by deputies and lawyers alike. Eyewitnesses say the defendant was eventually detained by Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Barry Quinn.
