(CBS) — The U.S. Post Office on Ohio and Mcclurg in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood didn’t have too many people running to make the deadline for taxes.

Area resident Jane Jansen says she wasn’t worried about making the deadline.

Jansen says she didn’t file online because her husband owns a business and it’s more complicated so they use an accountant.

Wrigleyville resident Andy McFarland dropped his taxes off during his lunch break.

McFarland says he dropped them off at the last-minute because he “had to pay. Why give them the money any sooner than the need it?”

The majority of folks in line were mailing letters or packages and told WBBM they filed their taxes ahead of time and many of them did it online.
