Woman Shot And Killed In Uptown
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 24-year-old woman was shot and killed in the Uptown neighborhood early Wednesday on the North Side, according to police.
She was a passenger in a vehicle about 1:50 a.m. in the 4500 block of North Broadway when gunfire erupted and she was struck in the head, police said.
The driver took her to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she later died, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
