Man Found Dead Near Scene Of Double Stabbing

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 57-year-old man was found dead shortly after he stabbed two people following a verbal altercation late Thursday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said.

About 9:20 p.m., the man stabbed both men in the 300 block of West 104th Street, police said.

An 85-year-old man was stabbed in the chest while a 56-year-old man was stabbed in the chest, hand and lower right leg, police said. Both men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions had stabilized.

The 57-year-old was later found unresponsive at 103rd and Princeton and pronounced dead, police said, though it wasn't immediately clear how he died.

The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

Further information was not available Friday morning.
