(CBS) Cubs outfielder Jorge Soler has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain, which he suffered in Monday’s win against the Marlins.

Soler’s expected to be out at least three weeks, according to reports. Soler is hitting .265 with four homers and 19 RBIs in 49 games this season.

The Cubs have recalled first baseman/outfielder Mike Baxter to replace Soler. Baxter is 1-for-9 in 10 plate appearances at the big league level this season.
