(CBS) — Archbishop Blase Cupich is doing so in his Stanley Cup bet with Tampa’s Catholic Archbishop.

WBBM’s Bob Roberts caught up with the archbishop at the Lou Malnati’s on North State.

Although, Cupich won the bet, he’ll provide Lou Malnati’s pizza for 300 to a Clearwater homeless shelter and Florida Bishop Robert Lynch is sending fresh fruit to St. Leo’s Residence for Veterans in Auburn Gresham, which will get pizza as well.

Marc Malnati says the pizzeria chain also will pay for transportation.

“You’re a good man to want to pay a bet off even when you win,” Malnati told Cupich.

“I just hope that as we get this wonderful citrus fruit from Florida that it is going to be enough to fill the Stanley Cup,” Cupich said.

Cupich says it is a great way to plug the work by Catholic Charities, whom he says helps someone every thirty seconds.
