Boy, 14, Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Freight Train On South Side

(CBS) -- A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a freight train Monday morning on the South Side, according to Chicago police.

The accident happened in the 5900 block South Natoma around 11 a.m., police said. The boy was transported to Loyola Medical Center in serious condition with an injury to his right leg.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
