Suspect In Custody After Fatal Stabbing In Lansing
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A female was stabbed to death early Tuesday in south suburban Lansing, and police have a person of interest in custody.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 3700 block of 173rd Court at 7:37 a.m. and found a female unresponsive in an apartment, according to a statement from Lansing police.
The victim, whose age was not known, had been stabbed several times and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Her identity was not being released Tuesday morning.
A person of interest is in custody, according to police.
Illinois State Police are assisting with the investigation.
