(CBS) — A teachers’ strike in McHenry High School District 156 is apparently over.

A bargaining session that started at 7:30 p.m. Friday has resulted in a tentative contract agreement between the teachers’ union and the district.

The strike lasted for six school days with salaries and health insurance being the two major issues. The strike affected 2,500 students on two campuses.

The plan is for teachers to vote on that tentative agreement on Monday. If it passes, students will go back to school on Tuesday.
