CHICAGO (STMW) — A 37-year-old man was wounded in an Edgewater Beach shooting early Friday on the North Side.

He was sitting in a pickup truck at a red light in the 5600 block of North Winthrop Avenue about 12:40 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the neck and suffered a graze wound to the head.

He took himself to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
