Blackhawks Recall Forward Phillip Danault

(CBS) The Blackhawks have recalled forward Phillip Danault from AHL Rockford, they announced Friday.

The move comes a day after forward Marcus Kruger suffered an upper-body injury in a win against Edmonton. The severity of Kruger's injury isn't yet known, though the addition of Danault hints that Kruger could miss some time. Kruger was to be further examined Friday.

The 22-year-old Danault has two points in six games at Rockford this season. He played two games for the Blackhawks in 2014-'15.
