Man Critically Injured In Chicago Lawn Fire
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was hospitalized in critical condition after a fire Tuesday afternoon in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
Fire crews responded to the blaze on the first floor of a two-story home in the 3200 block of West 61st Street, Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Frank Velez said.
A man in his 50s was taken in critical condition to Holy Cross Hospital, he said.
The home sustained significant damage, Velez said.
The Office of Fire Investigation is at the scene investigating the cause and origin of the fire Tuesday afternoon.
