Man Pistol-Whipped, Critically Injured At Calumet Heights Motel

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was pistol-whipped by two people who also stole his car early Tuesday at a motel in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

About 11:40 p.m., the man let two people into his motel room in the 9200 block of South Stony Island Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

The two people pistol-whipped the man and then stole his car, police said.

He suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Additional information, including the man's exact age, was not immediately available.
