Tykeshia Clark of Roseland says she was grateful for the distraction for her daughter, 10-year-old Sykirah Heard.

“It made her happy, so you know that’s pretty much what matters,” Clark said. “It was nice to see that they did something for the kids.”

Sykirah has been hospitalized for about a month after she went into cardiac arrest and a medically induced coma.
