Throughout the entire week of May 16, WBBM’s Noon Business Hour is focusing on education with a variety of expert interviews providing information on the college application process. Lasting through May 20, find out more about Education Week here.

Friday’s interview subject: Doug Baker, President of Northern Illinois University. WBBM Newsradio’s Kris Kridel and Cisco Cotto talked to Baker, asking him what Northern Illinois University looks for in prospective students.

“We look for students that are interested in coming and having a transformational experience,” Baker told WBBM. “Students that really want to be engaged — not to just go to class — but to really be engaged in and out of the classroom and hands-on experiences.”
