Two Men Injured In Shooting Outside UAW Hall In Chicago

(CBS) -- Chicago police are looking for a man who wounded two other men outside a union hall on the city's Far South Side.

The suspect got away from the headquarters of the United Auto Workers Local 551 on South Torrence.

The men were arguing shortly before 10 p.m. Friday. The two victims, in their 40s, suffered leg wounds and drove themselves to a hospital.

Union Vice President Jimmy Settles expressed concern about the incident, saying, "My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this senseless shooting."

"While we await the results of the police investigation, I respectfully ask that we embrace one another," he said in a statement.

The UAW represents workers at the nearby Ford plant.

Earlier in the day, election results for the union leaders were announced.
