Watch: Jason Goff Poignantly Addresses Tragic Shootings In Baton Rouge, Falcon Heights

(CBS) Tragedy struck Tuesday in Baton Rogue when 37-year-old Alton Sterling, a black man, was shot to death by police while being held on the ground. It has led to protests in the Baton Rouge area.

More tragedy struck Wednesday in Falcon Heights, Minn., where Philando Castile, a 32-year-old black man, was shot to death by police in his car in front of his girlfriend and her young daughter on a routine traffic stop. He'd told officers he had a firearm that he was licensed to carry, according to reports, then was shot when he was reaching for his wallet, his girlfriend said in a video that was live streamed during the tragedy.
