Half-Naked Man Steals Truck, Crashes On Lake Shore Drive
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A half-naked man stole a truck in the Gold Coast neighborhood Monday morning, and crashed it on Lake Shore Drive, and then ran toward the lake before he was caught.
Chicago police said officers responded to a call about a half-naked man causing a disturbance in the 100 block of East Delaware Place around 7 a.m.
Police said the a man dressed only in a pair of underwear had stolen a landscaping truck, and crashed it on the southbound ramp to Lake Shore Drive at Lower Randolph Street. The man then ran across the northbound lanes, and headed toward Lake Michigan at Monroe Harbor before he was caught.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
