CHICAGO (CBS) — Every year, 2.9 million cases of child abuse are reported in the U.S. In Cook County, there were more than 8,000 child abuse and neglect cases reported last year.

It’s those numbers that inspired Melissa Moss to start the local non-profit Kids Have Hope.

Moss joined the CBS 2 Morning News on Sunday to discuss her organization, why she started it, and what people can do to help. Find out more in the video above.
