CHICAGO (CBS) — A person was killed and another was wounded Friday during a shooting in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side, according to Chicago Police.
At 12:36 p.m., a shooting happened near LeClaire and North Avenues, police said. A 20-year-old man, on foot, was shot in the neck and the leg, while standing on the street. He was transported to Mt. Another shot entered a CTA bus and struck a 57-year-old man in the back. He was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.READ MORE: Chicago Weather: Most Locations To Remain Dry Overnight
The bus operator was also transported to Stroger Hospital for unknown causes.
