(CBS) – Six people were arrested during the Chicago events Friday to celebrate the Cubs winning the World Series, city officials said.
The arrests were for offenses ranging from operating a drone, battery, damage to city property and disorderly conduct, the Chicago Police Department reported.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Fire Department reported 33 ambulance transports, but details weren’t given.
“The City of Chicago thanks the Chicago Cubs, our fantastic public safety departments and all those assisting in making this event a win for the city of Chicago as we celebrate the long-awaited Cubs World Series 2016 win,” the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications said in a news release issued Friday evening.
Some 5 million people are estimated to have observed the parade and victory rally in Grant Park.
