CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) — Bellwood police say two stolen vehicles were recovered in a Tuesday evening traffic stop on the eastbound Eisenhower Tuesday, which in turn backed up rush-hour traffic.

Bellwood Police say there was a carjacking about 5 p.m. at Thorntons gas station near 25th Avenue and Harrison, and the carjackers took off on the eastbound Eisenhower.

At First Avenue, local police and state police stopped the car. Bellwood police say another stolen car also was stopped at First Avenue; that car was reportedly stolen out of Chicago.

Bellwood Police say four people were arrested — one juvenile and three adults.
