Delays Expected With Lane Closure On South Bound LSD Over Chicago River

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The lower level of southbound Lake Shore Drive going over the Chicago River will be reduced to one lane.

The Chicago Department of Transportation said it's for "repairs to the bridge grating."

According to the agency, CDOT workers on the bridge found "immediate repairs were needed to the grating on the lower level bridge deck" requiring the reduction.

The lane closure is expected to be in place until 5:30 p.m.
