CHICAGO (CBS)– The corridors were lined by Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s supporters and city workers as Emanuel made his ceremonial final departure from city hall.

After eight years in office, crowds cheered as a smiling Emanuel marked his last official day in office.

He shook the hands of police and supportive onlookers, dropping in a few high-fives and hugs along the way.

The big sendoff is just days before mayor-elect Lori Lightfoot will take over on Monday.
