CHICAGO (CBS) — Illinois State Police are investigating a reported expressway shooting near I-94 and I-57 south.

Police say two people were shot and injured.

The shooting took place shortly after 7:30 p.m.

One 25-year-old man was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the left thigh, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The I-94 northbound ramp to I-57 southbound is shut down for the investigation, according to CFD. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
