Man Escapes Police After Officers Find Weapon In Car In Bronzeville
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man escaped from police custody Wednesday night, after officers pulled him over in the Bronzeville neighborhood and found a weapon in his car.
Police said officers conducted a traffic stop near 36th and Indiana shortly before 9 p.m., and detained the 39-year-old driver while they searched the car.
After officers recovered a weapon from the rear of the car, the man fled the scene.
Police said the man got away.
Area Central detectives were investigating.
