Hayride Involved In Crash In Kendall County, 11 People Injured
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Multiple people have been transported to area hospitals after a hayride was struck by a car, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
A passenger vehicle rear-ended a haywagon that was being pulled by a farm tractor around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to fire officials. The wagon detached and flipped over; the car also flipped.
The crash occurred on River Road between Blackhawk Road and Fox River Drive. Eleven people were taken to nearby hospitals, three of which were in serious condition, officials said.
There is no indication alcohol was a factor in the crash. The Kendall County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation.
