Officials said a 25-year-old man told police he was trying to calm down a fellow rider who was acting belligerent.
He said the man then attacked him and as they struggled, the 25-year-old pulled out a pocket-knife and the other man got stabbed in the thigh.
The 25-year-old was only slightly hurt and says he never meant to harm the other man, he was using the knife as a deterrent.
Chicago police said a man was stabbed in the thigh and he was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition.
This is a developing story.
