CHICAGO (CBS)– Milder weather is back and is expected to linger through the early half of the weekend. However, Chicagoans could see a wintry mix ahead.

Thursday’s high temperature is 42 degrees with mostly cloudy conditions.

According to CBS 2 meteorologist Robb Ellis, the warmup continues on Friday with temperature in the 40s. There is a chance for showers Friday evening.

Colder weather returns late Saturday when there is a chance for rain, which could turn into a wintry mix.

There is a good chance of snow on Monday, but it is too soon to determine accumulations.
