Police Probe Shooting That Wounded Boy, 17, In Edgewater
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police were investigating Monday after a 17-year-old boy was shot in Edgewater.
The shooting happened around 9:52 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of West Berwyn Avenue, near Kenmore Avenue.
Police said the boy was walking when a man he did not know came up, shouted a gang slogan, and shot him in the leg.
The victim was rushed to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition while the suspect ran off.
Area North detectives were investigating Monday.
