CHICAGO (CBS) -- In honor of Black History Month several people are being recognized for their fight against slavery's last stronghold in Mauritania, a country in western Africa.
The event is hosted by the Abolition Institute, which is based in Chicago.
The ceremony will be held Wednesday at the historic Stone Temple Baptist Church in North Lawndale.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. often visited that church.
