Severe Thunderstorm, Hail Leaves Behind Damage In Evanston

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Severe thunderstorms swept through the Chicago area Tuesday night. Some homeowners are facing repairs and big clean-ups this morning.

Massive hail rocks fell in Evanston overnight.

Due to the massive size of the hail, damage was left behind after the storm. Several cars were left with damaged and shattered windshields.

One neighbor said she was expecting rain, but not this large of a storm. She said the ground shook.
