Woman, 6-Year-Old Boy Hurt In Fireworks Incident In Back Of The Yards

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 6-year-old boy was among two people hurt in a fireworks incident in Back of the Yards Thursday evening.

The Fire Department said the incident happened at 5336 S. Aberdeen St.

The boy was taken to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital in serious condition, while a 26-year-old woman was taken to the U of C Medical Center, also in serious condition, the Fire Department said.

Police said they did not respond.
