CHICAGO (CBS) –– Powerful storms that have produced winds of 80 to 100 mph in Iowa are bearing down on Chicago.

CBS 2’s Mary Kay Kleist expects this squall line to hold together and bring a damaging wind threat to Chicago.

This storm complex will meet the incredibly humid and hot air mass that we have in place.

This will be a fast moving line of intense storms, most likely between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
