Man Dead After Being Shot While Getting Into Car In Uptown
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 27-year-old man is dead after being shot while getting into a car in Uptown.
The shooting happened at 12:45 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of West Leland Avenue, police said.
The man had just entered the passenger side of a vehicle when someone inside another dark-colored vehicle shot him in the chest, abdomen, and neck, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of Monday afternoon, no one was in custody and Area Three detectives were investigating.
