ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (CBS) — A car slammed into a pole and split right in half in Arlington Heights Tuesday night.

The driver was ejected.

The accident happened along Northwest Highway and North Wilke Road in Arlington Heights. The car was split right down the middle.

The driver’s condition was not known late Tuesday, and it was not clear what caused the driver to lose control.
