Lemont Residents Advised To Expect Discolored Water Due To Fire Hydrant Flow Testing

LEMONT, Ill. (CBS) -- Lemont residents are advised that they might experience discolored water beginning on Wednesday.

The reason is fire hydrant flow testing that the Lemont Fire Department is conducting between Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The discoloration is due to mineral deposits on the water lines being disturbed.

Fire hydrant testing will be taking place around the village this month.

Anyone with questions should call Lemont Public Works at (630) 257-2532.
