First Case Of Brazil COVID-19 Variant Identified in Lake County
CHICAGO (CBS)-- The first case of the Brazil COVID-19 variant has been identified in Lake County.
According to health officials, this is the second new variant of COVID-19 identified in Lake County since February.
"These variants seem to spread more easily and quickly than other variants, which may lead to more cases of COVID-19," Lake County officials said.
Health officials are investigating this case and said the individual's travel history is not known at this time.
