CHICAGO (CBS) — Red Line service was disrupted for more than two hours on the North Side on Saturday, as Chicago police investigated a suspicious package at the Bryn Mawr station.

According to police, a concerned citizen flagged down officers in the 1000 block of West Bryn Mawr around 11 a.m.

The CTA suspended Red Line service between Howard and Addison until about 1:45 p.m., when normal service resumed.

Chicago Police said the scene was cleared at the station around that time, but did not provide further details.
