Boy, 11, Struck By Vehicle, Critically Injured In South Deering

CHICAGO (CBS) -- An 11-year-old boy was critically injured Saturday afternoon, when he was struck by a vehicle in the South Deering neighborhood.

Police said the boy was walking in the street on the 2500 block of East 130th Street around 2:30 p.m., when a vehicle headed west on 130th Street struck him.

The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Police said no citations were issued to the driver.
