Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Closes All South Bound Lanes Of Dan Ryan Expressway

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway were shut down Sunday morning between 95th and the Bishop Ford split due to a fatal hit-and-run crash.

According to Illinois State Police, one person died and another was hospitalized in the two-vehicle crash.

Just before 5 a.m. all southbound lanes of Interstate 94 near 95th Street were closed for the investigation, and traffic was being diverted off at 95th Street.

All lanes were still closed as of 8 a.m.
