Appeals Court Rules Hobby Lobby Violated Transgender Worker's Rights
AURORA, Ill. (CBS) -- A suburban transgender woman has won a big victory in her decade long battle with her employer, Hobby Lobby.
The issue was whether Meggan Sommerville can use the women's bathroom at work.
The store in Aurora has been forcing Sommerville to use the men's room, but a state appeals court has upheld an earlier decision finding Hobby Lobby violated the Illinois Human Rights Act.
Sommerville calls it a win for transgender people across the nation.
