Gov. Pritzker Announces $40 Million Workforce Grant Program

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Governor JB Pritzker announced a new program to help residents and small businesses hit hard by the pandemic.

Applications open Thursday for the Workforce grants with $40 million up for grabs. The grant will go toward job training, job placement and support services.

Plus, more than $4 million will be invested in 20 organizations that serve young people who are at risk of dropping out or facing violence.
