4-Year-Old Boy Struck By Vehicle In Hit-And-Run In North Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 4-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run in the North Park community.

Around 7:30 p.m., the child was struck by the driver at Foster Avenue and Pulaski Road, police said. The vehicle then fled the scene.

The Fire Department said the child was a 4-year-old boy. He was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, the Fire Department said.

Late Tuesday, no one was in custody. A description of the vehicle and other further information were not available.
